May 16th Patch – FRENCH CUISINE

Bonjour Generals,

WHOA A NEW EVENT ALREADY? Yes, it’s happening! There is no specific holiday or commemoration that this event is linked to. Rather, it is an event surrounding the two new French tanks we have today. Introducing…. Lorraine and Louise, two fashion-forward and food loving gals. In coming to Factoria, they’ve brought along a wild passion for French food and culture! You’ll learn more about that as you battle through event tiles to collect food and resources to supply the latest craze on the base – French cuisine.

Event Structure (May 16th – June 6th)

We’re changing things up this time for the event. During your ingredient gathering endeavor, you will have to make a choice on which battles to fight each reset. You only have 16 battles to win, and there are a total of 24 tiles on the map! That means you need to pick and choose to gather the right resources. Hint: The last 2 tiles per path give double event resources, so try to fight a path to completion if you start it. Also there are a whopping 5 resources (Macarons, Baguette, Wine, Cheese, Meat) so get to it!

The resource you need to earn AMX-50 is Meat, and Lorraine 155 mle. requires Baguettes! Various exchange shop products require you to combine other ingredients to generate yummy dishes. Go check out what’s on the menu! You can earn a new emblem during this event: Emblem of Sight which contains the main stat of Range! At Tier 5 +15, it will grant +3.04 Range.

Rotation Emblem Change

Rotation emblems weren’t doing their job right, which is adding more turn speed to tanks that needed it (Tank Destroyers and Artillery). Because the percentage bonus was actually less effective on their lower stats, we’ve changed it to flat bonuses. This will mean it’s less effective on high rotation speed units, but more effective for the slow ones.

May 9th Patch – Evolution of Command Units

Hi Generals,

ANZAC event is over, and so ends the chance to get Bob Semple and Matilda Hedgehog! I hope everyone got to trap themselves a hedgehog in that cage that Natalia brought along! Moving forward, we will have one week of downtime before we get ready for the next event. It’s coming very soon! Until then, we have a lot of big balance changes and combat adjustments this patch. Also, we have the debut of our very first Live2D character: Mandy! Go say hi to her in the shop and she will wave back! It’s an exciting moment to finally give life to our character art in such a way, but it’s also an expensive and time-heavy procedure, so we can’t expect Live2D everywhere.

Lieutenant Upgrading

The newest feature we are introducing is the Lieutenant customization system! The roll out will be in two portions. This week you are getting the stat upgrading side, where you can see and modify your Lieutenant’s strength using stat points. You get 1 stat point for each level to distribute. There are exponential returns on stat strength as you put more points in, but it also gets a lot more expensive too! You will need to find a careful balance in stats for what you want to accomplish. With a small cost, you can refund your stat points to redistribute (already attained stats won’t have a cost).

What is Ability Power?

AP is a new stat that we’ve just added for Lieutenants. It modifies the strength of their abilities (except for Shellshock). So your conventional Artillery Strike ability will now have a % modifier on its base damage, based off AP. The same applies for Healing, Defender, and Overload. AP starts at 10 and caps at 30. You can see the damage and % bonuses yourself by visiting the ability editing screen before battle.

Big Backend Overhauls!

Although you the player won’t see any effects of it, we made tons of code changes and cleanup around stats, screen layering, and build processes. This was necessary to create new features that expand on existing infrastructure, such as the Lieutenant upgrading system and stat overhauls. It’s a lot of work and can lead to hidden bugs. So please be diligent with reporting errors or weird happenings to us developers at Discord or Nutaku Ticketing.

Balance Changes

With the overhaul of our stats system, we managed to fix something that was broken since forever: commander armor did not apply correctly. If you ever wondered why the Maus boss at Cymric is such a pushover, that’s why. So now that it’s fixed, you’ll see the enemy commanders be a bit more beefy with penetration having a bigger effect. Despite the changes, you may not notice it because of how easy it is to acquire armor penetration so it won’t be a big deal.

As for the Portal of Chaos, we’ve noticed a ton more people breaking into higher rankings with the aid of the checkpoint system. The Portal typically changes difficulty every 5 stages with new units and different bosses. In order to maintain the challenge and keep up with the player population, we’ve added three more tiers between Lvl 70 -> 100 which tweaks the units that are available for spawn.

New Features:

Lieutenant stats and customization are in! Go make your Lieutenant a force to be reckoned with by upgrading their stats. Click the portrait in the top right to spend stat points (1 per level).
New stat Ability Power for your Lieutenants will boost the strength of your abilities!
-Our first Live2D character, Mandy will now talk to you in the shop! Go and pay her a visit. The Core purchase menu also has updated to the grid format.


-Artillery ability damage scaling increased and scales with both DMG and AP. Shells reduced from 3 -> 2.
-Defender ability’s Damage Reduction bonus reduced from 75% to 40%. Bonus % scales with AP. This ability has been far too powerful relative to any other power in the game, allowing any Heavy tank to attain 100% damage reduction with ease. The fact that this ability is an auto-include in any end-game deck means it requires a rebalance to be brought in line with the other abilities.
-Heal ability scaling buffed and bonus scales with ability power
-Overload ability bonus scales with ability power
-Invasion day Cores have been reduced to keep it in line with intended rate of gain

Portal of Chaos Changes:
-Portal of Chaos Lvl. 70+ tier removes Siegfried line from commander pool.
-Portal of Chaos Lvl. 80+ tier adds Vickers MBT and MBT-70 into unit pool.
-Portal of Chaos Lvl. 100+ tier adds Wraiths into unit pool.
-Pvt. Otto package in cash shop reduced to 1 unit for 100 Cores

Commander Changes:
– Commander durability has been increased across the board. The armor stat used to be applied in a weird way that actually made it useless before. But now their armor will be treated same as a normal unit’s.
– Enemy Corrupt Rachel/Evie/Natalia commanders given 200 Armor and increased HP scaling.
– Enemy Blight commander HP scaling increased 82 -> 120. Armor increased 0 -> 80.
– Enemy Void commander HP scaling increased 70 -> 100.
– Enemy Shard Boss HP scaling increased 120 -> 150. Armor increased 0 -> 120.
– Enemy Destroyer Armor increased 0 -> 70.
– Enemy Maginot HP Scaling increased 95 -> 125. Armor increased to 0 -> 90.
– Enemy Maus HP Scaling increased 95 -> 200. Armor increased 0 -> 300.
– Enemy Thor Boss Armor increased 0 -> 60.

Bug Fixes:

-Fixed bug that caused abilities to not tick down while stunned.

[Edit] There is currently a bug with how DPS is being calculated (factoring in accuracy when it shouldn’t). Should be fixed next time!



Apr. 18th Patch – ANZAC Day Event

Hi Generals,

There’s some cool stuff coming along in this patch that should freshen things up for you all. Thanks for your patience during the past slow month! We’ve added new story battles leading up to Abyssinia! Hooray! Make sure to read it all and enjoy the juicy exposition. For Nutaku players, there is an H-scene at the end of the city for people that manage to beat it. The new tiles are not easy, and you will need to give it your all! Wraiths, Myrmidons, and all manners of corrupted 5-star units will push your army to its limits.

Artillery Sale! Active for one week. 50% of all 5-stars dropped from shop recruiting will be an artillery unit! If you are looking for new artillery, this is your chance.

ANZAC Event is on! Ends on May 9th.

ANZAC Day is an event that honors the first independent military action of brave Australian and New Zealand soldiers during the Battle of Gallipoli. Although a very localized day for those countries, it’s a fitting event for Armor Blitz, since all of our tanks are based off of the ‘spirits’ of military vehicles. To join in the commemoration, you can gather event items to trade in for goods, and hold your own candlelight vigil using candles and badges! The event’s structure is very similar to the last Valentine’s event!

Rewards include all sorts of resources, emblems, and of course our favorite ANZAC tanks: Bob Semple, AC4 Sentinel, and the new Matilda Hedgehog.

New Character: Matilda Hedgehog

The new Matilda Hedgehog is an Australian imported tank with a twist. With a modified Hedgehog mortar pack on its back, it had the potential to bust bunkers and heavy armor with ease. Now you can collect her in-game through the ANZAC event! She is an economical artillery tank at only 3-gear cost, and has a lot of utility with her mortar shells. Sonya will normally shoot standard AP shells as until you toggle on her ability, which loads up a mortar shell with boosted range for the next 2 seconds! You can fire the mortar 7 times, much like her real-life counterpart. So far she is the only artillery unit with a default AP shell. Her passive ability only applies to the 7 mortar shells she carries.

Portal of Chaos Autoclear

The most tedious thing to do in our end game is battling through countless stages of easy Portal of Chaos battles to rank on the leaderboard every two days. The old battle skip option we had in-game was not very economical as the progress would reset anyways. So to alleviate that, we created the permanent Autoclear checkpoint! Every 5 stages, you can spend some cores to set a new persisting checkpoint. From that point on, all you have to do is press “Autoclear” to skip all of the battles up to that point. You will be granted the ranking points and Blueprints for each battle along the way.

Matilda Hedgehog 5* Artillery added. She’s a unique character that is more medium than arty, but she carries 7 powerful mortar shells that can be activated at a moment’s notice. Get her now in the event!
Abyssinia has been unlocked. Battle to the final city of Factoria and face deadly challenges along the way. Don’t skip the story segments!

Portal of Chaos now has a “Checkpoint” feature where you can purchase a permanent Autoclear checkpoint. Each consecutive checkpoint you set costs more Cores. The maximum skippable battle is Stage #20 (Lvl. 40 enemies).
-Added a progress bar on initial loading screen (instead of the spinning circle)

Expedition Changes:

-Medium Training Expedition drops Pvt. Rascal directly at a 10% rate.
-Medium Training Expedition Pvt. Rascal Schematic dropped from 25% -> 15%
-Hard Training Expedition drops Pvt. Rascal directly at a 5% rate.
-Hard Training Expedition Pvt. Rascal Schematic dropped from 15% -> 10%
-Hard Training Expedition drops Pvt. Otto directly at a 3% rate.
-Hard Training Expedition Pvt. Otto Schematic dropped from 10% -> 7%
-Expedition Invasions will only drop 1 Map at a time instead of multiples (applies to easy and medium maps)

Bug Fix:

-Lanterns from the old Wan Wan event are finally sellable for some currency! You can clean that out of your inventory now.



Apr. 4th Patch Notes!

Hi Generals,

I hope everyone enjoyed the April 1st post! To my surprise – there were lots of people that I fooled! 😈

It’s been a long time since our last patch. The dev team was at GDC (Game Developer’s Conference) in late March and didn’t have as much time to work on stuff. That’s why we unfortunately had to skip out on running an Easter event. The next scheduled event is happening for ANZAC Day in the middle of the month, which commemorates the first military action for New Zealand and Australia. In the meantime, we have some features that are in the works.

  • Lieutenant customization and upgrading
  • Improvement to Portal of Chaos and Expeditions
  • New Story battles and boss
  • And of course tanks!

These can be expected in late April and May (and not in any particular order). So we have plenty of new things in the works. Thanks for supporting us for so long, even through the times where we can’t patch so often! It is certainly appreciated.

New Unit: Vickers MBT

The new tank is the mighty Vickers MBT, a tank designed to succeed the Centurion Mk 1 in combat and also help out allied nations. She has the ability to fire Vigilant AT missiles to cripple enemies. Take a look at her stats below! Iris will be available for direct purchase this week, and will join the Recruit table next week! Get her now in the Iris Deployment Pack available on your main menu screen.

Other changes

Read below! We added a couple more QoL changes for displaying tank details. Also, since spring is finally here, the splash screen has changed (even though it snowed today in Michigan -.-). We also added graphics optimizations to adjust individual device performance. You can find that in the settings menu. The cash shop has a whole new look! Take a peek at the package shop to finally look at some new items there. Some items have daily and weekly limits, so keep that in mind when buying.

Armor Blitz: Idle – The future of tank warfare

Hi Generals,

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re excited to finally announce the next HUGE update for Armor Blitz. We’ve taken a lot of feedback from players and identified some key issues with Armor Blitz’s combat system. This has helped us get a grasp on what the future of Armor Blitz should look like. The key components we seek to improve are:

  1. Too much strategy: Armor Blitz allowed people too much interaction with the game. We’ve noticed in the modern gaming ecosystem, people have put less emphasis on the actual gameplay, and more on the acquisition of waifus. We want to distill Armor Blitz into the most optimal idea of fun for people – one that requires minimal interaction and maximum reward.
  2. Complex menus: If you’ve tried navigating the labyrinth of menus in our game, you will find yourself lost. The menu for equipping emblems can take weeks for a new player to discover. This mess of UI is a huge detriment to player experience. So we’re getting rid of almost all of it!
  3. Too much time requirement: Playing Armor Blitz takes a whole lot of work, you have to log in, collect your scouts, fight battles, do dailies, and . . . don’t even get me started on those events! So to remove all of that pain, we found a great mechanic that lets players play without playing.

The next iteration of Armor Blitz (2.0) will include improvements to the game across the board. You . . . won’t even have to play the game half the time! Armor Blitz is becoming a tower defence / idle game hybrid!

This iteration of the game will remove all of the issues people have complained about and make endless amounts of content for all players to enjoy! As you can see in the screenshot, we will allow resource node upgrading, commander swapping (Hetzer master race), acquisition of tuna cans to feed your new army of cats. On the frontlines, you will only have to decide between 3 units instead of 15! So much easier on the mind. Then you just let them sit there and shoot away at the Corruption, which are just portraits now. And don’t forget to click on enemy portraits to do damage as well! It’s very important to have that little bit of interaction for players that actually like to participate.

Relationship System is still here!

Don’t be concerned about your waifus’ stories. They are still here! But we’ve changed the relationship leveling mechanic to be more interactive and true to real life – relentless pursuit. Instead of feeding her candy (who would want a diabetes-ridden tank anyway?), you simply click on her a lot. To charge up the relationship meter, you have to click her 100,000 times to level her up once. And at level 100, you can unlock the juicy scenes you’ve all been wanting to see.

Oh and by the way we will be auto-banning all auto-clickers and macros. Our newly implemented machine-learning algorithms can detect static patterns in clicking and actions, and even randomly generated delays between clicks. That means you will have to truly earn your girls’ love through natural clicking. Only those with an unstoppable will and natural immunity to repetitive strain injury will succeed at reaching maximum relationship!

The future is now

Stay tuned for the new version coming soon. With the greatly simplified modifications to Armor Blitz, it uses 50% less system resources than before and can be fully optimized for new platforms. To spread tank girls across the world, we will localize everything to 10 new languages, and launch on 3 new platforms before the end of the year. That includes the fabled iOS release! 🙏🙏🙏
